When Spring Awakens in Sound...

Our quarterly SHOW Spring gathering was truly a celebration that opened
this 2002 season of "new birth" and "new beginnings"! About thirty lovers of sound
vocalizing joined together in the resonant space of the Seattle Interfaith Community Church throughout Saturday afternoon of March 23rd for an amazing three hour experience of sound and silence.

SHOW Directors, Danick Jawer, Ginny Helfrich, and Gina Sala' gave a hearty welcome, opening directions, and enlivened “warm up” that set the stage for Sha'ari Garfinkel to massage us with a twenty minute Sound Bath as she exquisitely played her Sun Gong. Feeling the vibration of the Sun Gong's frequencies was further accented by the radiant afternoon spring sunlight streaming through the church windows.

Then Jeff Jawer, Astrologer, delightfully described the planetary influences of this Equinox and emphasized focusing on the "NOW" to be lived without future or past
judgment.

Thereafter, we spent two glorious hours (two sessions of 45 min of sound followed by 15 min of silence) vocalizing, listening to the harmonies, dissonances and magical tonal encounters that could only happen in an environment of total focused loving acceptance.

We finished the afternoon, gathering in a circle around colorful bouquets of Spring flowers, in peaceful awareness of the energy that was continuing to hum among us and within us. One by one, we picked a flower to take home, saying just one word
that validated what had been awakened in this sacred sound celebration.

Transformative, transporting, powerful…healing. Thank you and all others who participated in co-creating such a wonderful event!”
